Introduction to Road Marking Machine
Road marking machine is a road construction machine widely used in roads, highways, parking lots, squares, and runways to mark different restrictions, guidelines, and warning rules on flat ground. The Road marking machine has played a huge role in urban planning and highway construction due to its advantages of speed, efficiency, and accuracy, maximizing the savings in road construction time and economic investment.
Accessories for road marking machine
1. Marking width: The internationally recognized road marking width is 15 centimeters. Considering that the marking machine may be used in parking lots, residential areas, and other areas, it is recommended to purchase a marking machine with width adjustment function, which will help to use it reasonably and save paint. The adjustable range is generally 5-15 centimeters.
2. Paint types: There are two commonly used types of paints: solvent based and water-soluble. If the marking machine does not "pick 3, pick 4" and both can be used, it can expand your business scope to sports fields, lawns, and other places.
3. Hand held spray gun: Using a hand held spray gun not only allows you to freely use templates to spray various symbols, but also allows you to work on walls, columns, and other places outside the ground. The handheld spray gun has gradually become the standard configuration for various marking machines.
4. Cleaning system: Some road marking machines are equipped with an automatic cleaning system, which can quickly clean the pipeline system after each completion, saving more than half of your cleaning time.
5. Glass bead system: Road maintenance companies also need to consider configuring a glass bead distribution system as a standard configuration. This system can spray glass microspheres to fully meet national requirements for marking construction.
6. Bend operations. Some road marking machines also have an extra wheel installed at the rear, which allows you to freely construct along curved markings. Companies engaged in sports fields and multi bend operations can consider purchasing a marking machine with this function. Some already have this feature on their own.
The structure of the road marking machine
The structure of the road marking machine is diverse, and there may be differences in structure due to different production design situations or application to different construction objects and different raw materials. The marking machine generally needs to have devices such as an engine, air compressor, paint (melt) bucket, marking bucket (spray gun), guide rod, controller, etc., and is equipped with various auxiliary drive carriers according to needs.
Engine: Most road marking machines use an engine as the power source, and some also use batteries as the power source. If an engine is used, its power ranges from approximately 2, 5 HP to 20 HP, but it is best to use internationally renowned brands such as Briggs&Stratton in the United States and Honda in Japan. Its advantages are self-evident: stable performance and easy procurement of spare parts, which almost determines the operational performance of the entire equipment; If using batteries as power, it is also recommended to consider the running time for each charge, preferably no less than 7 hours (approximately 1 day of working time).
Air compressor: For road marking machines that rely on air for spraying (rather than hydraulic spraying), it is also the main component that affects the overall performance of the machine. Like engine 1, you should consider purchasing products equipped with internationally renowned brand air compressors. The larger the emission, the better, but with a certain limit.
Material bucket: It mainly has two functions: one is to hold paint, in this sense, the size of its capacity will affect the number of refills and the progress of the operation. Another function that many users overlook is that the container is still a pressure vessel, which is pressurized by an air compressor to become a pressurized "gas tank" and become the driving force for marking work. In this sense, its sealing, safety, and corrosion resistance should be considered by users. Good buckets are all made of stainless steel, and some products even meet the American ASME standard.
Spray gun: One type is to use a "spray box" for spraying, which is relatively cheap and especially suitable for sports field lawns and general parking lot construction; Another method is to use a spray gun for spraying, which is strictly a spray gun, but the price of its nozzle is relatively high.
Classification of road marking machines
According to the device carrier
Vehicle mounted road marking machine: In the form of a driving mount, the front and rear mechanical devices of the vehicle body are used for large-scale engineering and long-distance construction scribing. The operator needs to understand driving skills, drive walking, and save time and effort.
Truck mounted road marking machine
Self Propelled road marking machine: In the form of a handheld drive, the machine itself has a driving device, which allows for self-propelled walking without the need for manual assistance. It is suitable for short distance construction in large and medium-sized projects and in vehicles with inconvenient operation, and is flexible and easy to operate.
Hand push type road marking machine: In the form of hand assistance, the manual pushing roller slide device requires the use of human labor for walking. It is suitable for small projects and short distance construction, with convenient activities and flexible operation.
According to construction temperature
Hot melt road marking machine: It is a highly automatic machine that has gradually developed and improved with the development of hot melt coatings. Construction requires a set of several equipment to complete various construction functions from melting to marking. This set of equipment generally consists of a hot melt kettle, a road marking machine (including a zebra crossing marking machine), a pre marking machine, and a coating machine. Of course, users can choose different models, grades, and functions of equipment configurations based on their own economic strength, engineering quantity, and degree of specialization. The hot melt marking machine in the configuration can be divided into three types based on its marking method: hot melt scraping type, hot melt extrusion type, and hot melt spraying type.
Cold spray (cold paint) road marking machine: Cold spray marking is one of the oldest conventional marking machines, and this type of marking is usually completed by a room temperature road marking machine. Cold spray road marking machines can be divided into two types according to their marking methods: high-pressure airless type and low-pressure air assisted type; According to the types of coatings used, it can be divided into three types: ambient temperature flux type, ambient temperature water-based, and heating solvent type (the generalized ambient temperature road marking machine also includes dual component type, especially the dual component spraying type, which is a broad-spectrum road marking machine that combines the functions of conventional ambient temperature coatings and dual component coatings spraying).
Two component road marking machine: Two component road marking is a high-end marking method that has emerged in recent years. Unlike hot melt marking and room temperature marking, which form coatings by physical drying methods such as temperature drop or solvent (water-based) evaporation, two component road marking is a new type of marking method that forms coatings by internal chemical crosslinking. The two-component road marking machine used for construction can be divided into three types based on the type of coating it is suitable for and the appearance of the applied line type: the throwing coating structure type, the scraping flat line type, and the high-pressure airless spraying type.
