Two component road marking paint is a room temperature reactive coating used for making permanent road markings. The initial "two component" refers to "coatings" and "curing agents". Later, people divided the coating into two components A and B to achieve large-scale construction using high-pressure fluid equipment. The current "two component road marking traffic paint" usually refers to "a special paint used for making road markings divided into two components: A and B. Before using the two-component marking coating, the curing agent must be added to the B-component coating and thoroughly stirred. During the construction process, the coatings of components A and B are evenly mixed and solidified on the road surface, forming a dual component road marking.

Compared to common thermoplastic marking coatings, two component marking coatings can more firmly adhere to glass microspheres and are the preferred material for making reflective markings.
